The Z. Smith Reynolds Library in the heart of Wake Forest University’s campus has started a comprehensive, multi-phase renovation master plan that will transform the historic library into a contemporary center for scholarship and student success.  Through a series of selective interventions and incremental upgrades, the design envisions a more open, inviting, efficient, and intuitive library experience for students and faculty.  This first phase of the master plan includes partial renovation of two floors and features a new Digital Scholarship Collaboration Suite employing multiple technologies to promote interdisciplinary collaboration across a broad range of departments.  The goal is to redefine traditional paradigms of academic scholarship and foster new models for research and intellectual affinities.

The suite includes a computer lab, lounge, meeting rooms, and a copy/print workroom for students. Administrative offices were also part of this initial phase of the master plan.
